YSD1: Connected As Readers
2022-2023
Why is reading so important? Research shows repeatedly that reading is the number one thing children can do to be successful! The YIS reading program provides students with a variety of books that helps them read in other genres.
There are 12 titles on the YIS reading list as seen below! Reading goals are set by date in order to help students stay focused on reading all year long! Small incentives will be given to students who meet the goal and a huge Reading Celebration will take place at YCHS for all students who read the entire list (all 12 books)! Please encourage your child to participate by reading one book per month!
